In 2016, Jordan Hewson created ActionButton to help people take action on the news that mattered most to them. Her vision was simple: make it possible for everyday citizens to not just read headlines, but to change them. For the next four years she and her team did exactly that, with ActionButton being used by some of the biggest brands in the world to expand their reach. But the dream was always to make it possible to operate at a scale that would get ActionButton to millions of people, not just to big organizations and brands.
That’s where NationBuilder came in. With a vision of democratizing access to ActionButton, NationBuilder acquired the company in early 2021, and the team got to work making it possible for anyone, anywhere to use ActionButton. Less than a year later, we’re incredibly proud that we get to share ActionButton with the world - for free!
